San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) ceased operations in 2012 and has transitioned to a decommissioning project. The City of Anaheim and the City of Riverside are requesting proposals from qualified parties interested in acquiring Anaheim’s and Riverside's interests in SONGS, including their NRC fuel licenses, decommissioning trust fund, rights, privileges, and residual assets, obligations, and liabilities, as set forth in the RFP (below.)
