Block Party Rules

  • A petition signed by a responsible adult from every residence on the block (please include the resident's address and apartment number) along with the application. This list along with a map of the intersections to be barricaded must be submitted to Traffic Engineering at minimum of 2 weeks in advance of the event.
  • On the map, include simple hand-drawn markings to show where the barricades will be placed.
  • Attendance at the Block Party is limited to those people living on the block. The residents will remove the necessary barricades.
  • The residents will be responsible for setting up and removing the barricades. Barricades must be equipped with lights for after-dark use, and of a type that can be easily removed in case of emergency. Vehicles cannot be used as barricades.
  • Live or amplified music is not permitted.
  • The residents will be responsible for cleaning up any debris that may be left on the street after the Block Party.
  • All lights and noise must be curtailed by 11 p.m.
  • The Fire Department would like to remind all Anaheim residents that the possession and use of any fireworks, including sparklers, is prohibited in the City of Anaheim. (This is basically intended for July 4th and other holidays).

The Block Party Form can be submitted through email (preferred method), at City Hall, by mail, or fax.
